Meet Lynda Carmouche
Rooted in Resilience, Committed to Healing.
Hey Good People!
"I’m not here to manage burnout—I'm here to disrupt it."Â

I was born in Lake Providence, Louisiana—a place once named the poorest town in America by TIME Magazine and CNN. My story began in the cotton fields, where I started working at just four years old. From an early age, I learned what it meant to fight for survival, to find dignity in struggle, and to believe—despite every obstacle—that there was more for my life.
That belief carried me through challenges that could have broken me: childhood trauma, discrimination, abandonment, low self-worth, loss, and divorce. But I refused to let pain have the final say. Instead, I became determined to beat the odds and rewrite my story.
Today, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 28 years of experience helping individuals, leaders, and organizations disrupt burnout and heal the wounds they’ve hidden behind success. My work is not just professional—it’s personal. I understand what it means to carry polished pain: the perfectly masked exhaustion, the secret self-doubt, the anxiety that never leaves.
With determination, I became a first generation college graduate. After earning my Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from Southern University, I became a sought-after therapist, speaker, and consultant specializing in trauma-informed care, burnout prevention, and mental wellness. My career has included designing psychiatric education programs for major healthcare organizations, developing trauma-informed practices for schools and healthcare systems, and guiding thousands of professionals to unlearn the habits that keep them stuck in cycles of depletion.
I am the creator of the Burnout Disruptor™ framework and the #1 best-selling author of Polished Pain: The Cost of Burnout and Unresolved Trauma. Whether I’m speaking on a stage, leading a workshop, or sitting across from a client, my mission is the same: to help you heal at the root, not just manage the symptoms.
I believe that burnout isn’t the problem—it’s the proof. The proof that you’ve been over-functioning, over-giving, and under-healing. The proof that your unprocessed pain is demanding to be seen.
When you’re ready to do the deeper work, I’m here to guide you. Because no matter where you started or what you’ve survived, it is never too late to reclaim your story, rebuild your life, and experience the wholeness you deserve.
